About the course
Our Introductory Beer Taster Training course will give you a firm introduction to beer tasting. You will receive training and assessment on a core 20 flavours found in beer. This course will focus on common off-flavours and how to detect them.

We won’t just present you with PowerPoint slides. All our training is hands-on, with about 55 flavored samples being assessed by attendees over the course of the day.
Every training session involves a blind assessment of all samples by every panelist. This generates a considerable amount of quantitative performance information relating to the strengths and weaknesses of the individual and the group with respect to the evaluation of individual flavour notes.
Performance assessment is central to the training methods used and all assessors will receive frequent formal and informal feedback on their performance.
This course is suitable for novice tasters as well as those with more experience.
