OPEN TRAINING COURSES
We have a range of “open” courses for the brewing industry that we run once or twice per year. If you’re not looking to run a full-scale course for your team, but would like to get your key people trained, this is for you.
The courses we run are as follows:

INTRODUCTORY BEER TASTER TRAINING
Our 1-day open Introductory Beer Taster Training Course are designed to train assessors on the basics of beer flavour, and introduce them to formal sensory tasting techniques.
We currently run 1-day open courses in the UK & USA (Mexico - coming soon!)
PRACTICAL BEER TASTER TRAINING
Every year we run Practical Beer Taster Training courses in the US and Europe that are designed to teach your brewer or designated quality leader how to run and operate your sensory panel.
Each course lasts five days. In the first three days, you will taste close to 150 beer samples delivered during 15 training sessions. You will learn the specific tasting techniques required to reliably detect and identify a wide range of positive flavours, off-flavours and taints.
Over the last two days you will learn the principles of professional beer taster training. We will teach you how to deliver a 15-session taster training course in your own brewery and evaluate the results. You will learn how to deliver training in the area of sample evaluation, flavour identification, and beer quality assessment, facilitate successful training sessions and provide constructive feedback to your assessors.
This course is suitable for quality leaders, sensory managers, brewers, sensory professionals and those looking to sit formal qualifications (such as the Cicerone® exams).
